Back in August 2014 I took a leap of faith; to leave behind my 21 brilliant years with Marriott Hotels and start a brand new adventure.
That departure from Marriott saw an end to my previous blog : Highcliffhotelier.blogspot.com and a whole new way of life and way of thinking in the limited service sector of the industry.
My new role as Regional Operations Manager for Premier Inn puts me much closer to the decision making of the organisation than I had enjoyed for a while with Marriott and the opportunity to help shape the future, of both the organisation and for our people. And what a future it is set to be, domestically we continue to open one new Premier Inn hotel every week, we have just launched Hub by Premier Inn, possibly the most exciting new UK hotel industry concept this decade and a real game changer for us and future generations of business and leisure travellers. Then of course, we have our expansion into Europe already underway, with the development of the first Premier Inn for Germany, in Frankfurt. It is definitely an exciting time to be at Premier Inn and I am gaining great experience with regard to running a scaleable business. Happy Days!
